mt. rose church is led by a plurality of elders
Pastor Rob has been serving at Mt. Rose Church since 1978. He and his wife Dawna are both native Nevadans, with Dawna being born in Reno and Rob in Fallon. He and Dawna were married in 1975 and their family continues to grow with three daughters, Deana, Danae, and Daelynn; three sons-in-law; and eight grandchildren. Rob is a graduate of Eastfield College (Associates in Arts and Sciences), Dallas Bible College (Bachelor of Theology) and the University of Nevada (Masters of Arts in Philosophy). Pastor Steve and his wife Jessica are both native Nevadans who met at the University of Nevada and have been married since 2007. They are together learning to be parents to their growing family. Steve has undertaken biblical and theological studies at Multnomah University and Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. He holds both the Master of Divinity and Master of Theology degrees. His academic and personal interest is in the theology of the English Puritans, of whom he counts John Owen as the foremost. Steve enjoys reading, the mountains, and coffee. Jeff Yoshimoto is a native of California. Prior to attending UC Davis he enjoyed racing and working on bikes. While attending college, he met his sweetheart, Grace, in a Spanish III class. They were married two years later and quickly grew together in their faith. After earning his Master’s degree in Water Science, Jeff and Grace moved to Reno in 1992 to start their family. Jeff works in an environmental lab and is an arborist. He and Grace have two children. They have attended Mt. Rose since 1993, where Jeff has served as a deacon, and where he currently serves as an elder.
